NEWS FLASH: Lucky magazine gets a new editor

EvaChen_Hero

One day you’re in, the next day you’re out. Especially when it comes to mag land. It has been announced that Lucky magazine has ousted its editor-in-chief Brandon Holley and replaced her with former Teen Vogue beauty director Eva Chen (pictured above). Chen left Teen Vogue less than a year ago, but was brought in to consult on various special projects for Lucky magazine by none other than Conde Nast’s artistic director and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. It seems Wintour had something a little more permanent in mind for Chen and promptly recommended her for the top job. With Lucky magazine’s circulation figures waning, there’s a lot riding on Chen’s new appointment. Oh the drama!

FASHION FOCUS: Taylor Tomasi Hill

01

Even without her signature scarlet hair, stylist Taylor Tomasi Hill is hard to miss. Her boundary-pushing style and her ability to mix feminine pieces and give them a slightly tomboyish edge are what have made her a favourite of street style photographers and magazines worldwide. Tomasi Hill got her start in magazines – working as the accessories director at both Teen Vogue and Marie Claire before eventually moving to luxury fashion e-tailer Moda Operandi as its artistic director. Not surprisingly she loves high end designers such as Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens and Burberry but rather refreshingly lists her Madewell destroyed jeans as a wardrobe staple. The fact her apartment is also beyond ridiculously cool sealed the deal for us. We’re officially style crushing.
